Why Mytham Primary School?

I am delighted to be able to share with you all the wonderful things our school has to offer and hope that you will find our website a good place to start. The website has statutory information from Ofsted, about how well the school is doing, to other informative documents such as school policies, the prospectus and our procedures. Please take time to browse our website and see how motivated our pupils are about their learning.

Please follow us on our ‘Mytham’s Magical Moments’ Twitter feed or download our ‘Mytham Messenger’, they both offer insights into how we celebrate success and share information with our parents. Mytham staff want every child to be the best they can possibly be. We have strong commitment to providing a broad, balanced and creative curriculum full of inspirational topics in a vibrant setting. We would like like Mytham children to be ‘well rounded’, ‘caring’ and ‘responsible’ citizens therefore, we would also have an ethos of looking beyond school for opportunities to help others and the environment.

We are always very happy to show prospective parents and pupils around school. Please contact Mrs Carney in the school office on 01204 333556 to arrange an appointment. ll the schools in Little Lever have an open day in the Autumn term. I am very proud to lead this thriving school and hope that you and your child will play a part in our continued success.

Safeguarding at Mytham

At Mytham we take Safeguarding and Child protection very seriously .

We have a Duty of Care to ensure that any concerns we have about the well-being of a child are investigated.

This may mean uncomfortable discussions with parents/carers but as with everything at Mytham ‘children come first’.

  • Mytham staff  have regular training regarding Safeguarding and Child Protection
  • We are compliant with statutory training
  • Staff and volunteer recruitment follows strict vetting and barring procedures
  • All new staff, students and volunteers are aware of our safeguarding procedures via our induction procedures
