Headteacher’s Message

It is a real privilege to welcome you to Mytham Primary School. Stacey Burke

At Mytham, we believe that every child matters, every child belongs and every child has the potential to shine. We are a warm, inclusive and nurturing school where children are known, valued and encouraged to be themselves.

At the heart of our school is The Mytham Way. It shapes how we learn, how we treat one another and how we grow together. We want our children to become Mytham STARS — kind, respectful, resilient and confident young people who are ready to make a positive difference in the world around them.

We are ambitious for every child, while recognising that every child’s journey is different. Our role is to understand each child, celebrate their strengths, support their individual needs and give them the confidence to overcome challenges. We believe that nurture and high expectations go hand in hand.

Our curriculum gives children strong foundations in learning alongside opportunities to be creative, curious and courageous. We place great importance on wellbeing, relationships, belonging and developing the character children need to thrive, both now and in the future.

Most importantly, Mytham is a community. We want our children and families to feel welcomed, listened to, respected and valued. We work together to create a school where everyone can contribute, everyone can grow and everyone can feel that they belong.

I am incredibly proud to lead Mytham and excited about our future. I look forward to working with our children, families, staff and governors as we continue to live The Mytham Way and help every child to thrive.
