SCHOOL UNIFORM

Official school sweatshirts/cardigans/poloshirts may be ordered from the School Office.  A school uniform helps establish a corporate identity and puts all children on an equal footing and I appreciate the efforts parents make in providing it for their children.  Should parents wish to purchase a plain royal blue sweatshirt/cardigan/pullover this is acceptable.

P.E. and GAMES KIT

Children will not be able to participate in PE/Games without the appropriate kit:

P.E. (indoor)

White round neck t-shirt

Navy pleated Games Skirt or Navy Shorts

P.E. pumps

PLEASE ENSURE THAT ALL CLOTHING IS CLEARLY MARKED.

HAIR STYLES AND ACCESSORIES, JEWELLERY AND NAILS

No ‘extreme hairstyles’

Styles are extreme, when:

Hair is shaved very short all over so the scalp can be seen i.e. a zero

Sides are shaved very short and the top section is much longer.

When there are patterns shaved into them,  these patterns include lines, shapes, and names.

Hair is artificially coloured i.e. bleached/dyed

Hair gel / products should not be used in school.

Hair accessories, which keep longer hair tidy, such as hair slides, scrunchies, bobbles and hair bands are

acceptable but should be plain and sensible, preferably in the school colours. Children wearing unacceptable accessories will be asked to remove them.

It is a good idea for children with long hair to tie it back.

Children should not wear nail varnish, make up or false nails.

Earrings should be studs and covered with plasters during PE or removed. Watches should be sensible i.e. not too big.

Children should not bring valuable or dangerous items into school e.g. mobile phones, personal money and electronic gadgets. These will be confiscated and put in the school safe to be collected at the end of the day. In exceptional circumstances mobile phones can be kept in the school office during the day.

However, the school cannot be held responsible for loss or damage to any items.
